TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught at small rural schools in North Carolina, at large urban schools in California and everywhere in between!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Engaging, creative, philosophical, intuitive teaching that centers on each individual learning and growing. My AP Literature and Composition experience is quite unique. I teach four sections of AP Literature each day with 35-40 students in each class, totaling over 150 AP students (and essays!) each year. With that many students taking the exam, I still have over 80% pass rates. I focus on methods that will help teachers manage the rigors of the AP curriculum, the difficulties of grading and assessing that many essays, and coaching students through this difficult exam.
