I have been teaching since 2020. My favorite thing to teach my students is agency in their education. I make sure to give opportunities for real life lessons and student voice/choice.
Student voice and choice is very important to me, and I always work towards making my students the center of my classroom. My creations are centered towards their learning and needs. My lessons are easily interchangeable to fit the needs of learners everywhere! I also love to make lessons that involve using technology and relatable 21st century skills. Our learners today have skills and want assignments/projects to be more exciting than your typical assignments might be. I try to tap into our current learners minds and create projects and assignments that cater to their interests.
The greatest moment in teaching is watching students enjoy my lessons and understand the content being taught. There is nothing better than being told by your students that your lessons are fun and that they learned so much from it.
I attended public school for my own K-12 education. I then attended community college and graduated in 2020 with my BA in history from UCLA. I attended GCU until 2021, where I graduated with my MA in Secondary Education with an emphasis in humanities. My time at GCU taught me how to create invigorating lessons and cater to all unique learners. I love to share my findings and successes with you!
In my free time, I love to weight lift, hike, and bake! I'm also beginning to pursue my MLIS and I hope to one day work in special collections at a university library. I want to be up close and personal with historical objects and documents and help with research. I will always find time to create resources for my TpT page too :)
