TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am the son of two teachers and have been raised in education for all of my 31 years. I have taught for 8 years in Cabot and Hot Springs Arkansas and have taught all ability levels from inclusion level to Advanced Placement. I am currently the AP Art History instructor at Lakeside High School in Hot Springs, which was recently voted the top performing academic high school in Arkansas for our classification. Courses taught include - Inclusion World History, World History, Pre-AP World History - US History - AP Art History

MY TEACHING STYLE

As an AP Teacher I lean more towards a collegiate style atmosphere in my class. Kids are allowed to use their cell phones when appropriate and are encouraged to use apps to enhance their knowledge. Technology and the use of computers is highly stressed in my classroom.Though my course is lecture intensive, we do class projects bi-weekly and spend quite a bit of time allowing the kids to explore their creative side. My course is writing intensive and we work on writing skills on an almost daily basis.
