I am currently in my 23rd year of teaching! Everyday is a new experience that teaches me just as much as I teach my students if not more.
I teach in small groups as much as possible. I love centers. I believe that manipulatives not only engage students but allow them to understand topics at a deeper level. I also believe that positive encouragement can be your greatest power in the classroom.
Walmart Teacher of the Year
I graduated with my BA from the University of Northern CO in 2000 with a major in elementary education with an emphasis in mathematics. I received my masters from Walden University in 2009 with a degree in math.
I am a veteran teacher of 23 years in the classroom. I have taught one year of middle school math, 10 years of 5th/6th grade, 11 years at first grade and am now the district elementary math coach. I love teaching, working with students, helping other teachers, and seeing OUR children grow!
