I spent ten years teaching third grade teaching every subject! I worked at the Regional Office of Education training teachers on Family Engagement, Balanced Assessment, and Continuous Improvement Planning. Now I am a resource teacher for kindergarten to fifth grade students. My activities are based on the needs of my students. I want my students to be successful in the general education classroom.
I am into project-based learning and differentiating lessons in the classroom. I love to take my students on a simulated trip around the world. I think life in the classroom is an adventure!
I have successfully written two science grants.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication with a minor in Marketing from Western Illinois University. I have a Master's in Education from Rockford University. I have my special education license as well.
I am a mom to three kids! I spend many hours in my craft room creating cards, making jewelry, and scrapbooking. I decorate cakes for fun. I enjoy developing units, fun lessons, and amazing projects for my students! I really hope you can find my lessons useful!
