I am a traveling teacher, and I travel from school to school teaching English as a Second Language pre-k through 12 grades. I have been teaching English as a Second Language for 10 years, and truly enjoy it. I love to see the growth a student that speaks no English makes from one year to the next as they become fluent English speakers. In addition I have had the opportunity to lead a few professional development training sessions focusing on technology in the classroom. Technology is something that I love to not only teach the students how to use, but I enjoy watching a teacher's face when they have learned something new too.
I push-in to the regular ed classrooms with my more advanced students, and team teach with the classroom teacher for an hour a day. With my newer, limited English speaking students I pull-out for one on one instruction. If I am pushing-in or pulling-out I am teaching with technology. I strongly believe that technology has a place in the classroom, and the students perform better if they are in some way interacting with what is being taught (hands-on).
