My fourth year of teaching will begin soon! I taught third grade for two years, then moved to fourth grade gifted, and now I'll be looping with my amazing class to fifth grade next year! I'm super excited for this new adventure and to share some awesome resources and ideas with you all!
My teaching style is constantly evolving! I don't come from a traditional education background; I majored in art history and ceramics, and this has strongly influenced my nontraditional and flexible teaching habits. I was recently blessed with the opportunity to go to the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta and my heart exploded with wonderment as well as belonging. If you've seen Ron Clark in action or read one of his books, then you have a pretty good idea of what my classroom is all about :)
When I was in fourth grade, my teacher gave me "The Sweetest Smile in Town" award, as well as one for being "The Quietest Nose Blower." You could say those honors have stuck with me. :)
I will soon be a Master of Education with a concentration in Elementary Education :)
I love Jesus, coffee, glitter, books, new pens, and of course - all things Harry Potter. :)
