I graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, from Ashland University with a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and the American College of Education with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
As a student, I loved the subject of math and disliked the way I was instructed. While staying at home with my children, I operated a tutoring business that allowed me to discover what works for different types of learners. As a classroom teacher, my goal is not only to teach the fundamentals of math, but bring back the wonder of learning. I am luckier than most as I can bounce ideas off of my children (an aerospace engineer, a computer technician, and a high school math teacher) and my supportive husband, who is also a retired math teacher.
