Description

Do your students need practice writing CVC words after segmenting each word (isolating each sound)? This fall pumpkin resource is a NO PREP engaging activity for students to complete independently, in a small group or as a whole class activity.

In this fall pack, there is a picture of a CVC word on each pumpkin. There are 3 boxes (one box for each letter of the word) under each picture for students to write each word in after sounding out and stretching each word. This print and go pack is great for fall, September, October, and November. This seven page pack has 9 pumpkin graphics on each page.

There is one page for each vowel (a, e, i, o, and u) and two pages with a combination of these five vowels. There are seven pages in all.

The PREVIEW shows all pages included in the resource.

There is a "Name that Picture" page that tells the word for each picture in case there is a question about the picture name. Keep the page handy when using all seven pages.

**Also available in apples, hearts, snowmen, pots of gold, eggs, and more on the way!

Here are the words that are included on each page:

Page 1: cab, hat, map, wag, fan, mad, cap, pad, rat

2: pet, men, net, leg, vet, ten, jet, pen, red

3: hip, kit, lid, pig, pin, hit, lip, zip, wig

4: cop, fog, hot, jog, mop, pot, top, box, log

5: tub, mud, nut, mug, rug, sub, bus, sun, cut

6: gum, fox, six, bat, hen, dip, bed, cup, ham

7: bib, bag, run, wet, sob, beg, cat, fin, pop

If students finish early, have them flip to the back of their paper and write a sentence with each word on the front. Students can also color the pictures after completing the page.

This makes a great morning work activity, homework, literacy center, or review for CVC words. Students love using their mini slinkies to stretch out the words.
