Description
Test Prep Reminders: Word Search Activity
This is a great way to get your students talking about ways to be prepared and do well on 'the test'.
You can use this as a morning work activity, as a literacy center, or as a whole class partner activity in order to get students talking about what they can do to be better prepared. Use it as a 'conversation starter'.
In this test prep themed puzzle, words are found forward, backward, up, down, and diagonal. I would consider it on the challenging side since students are looking for words in all directions. (see the word list below).
I would suggest using this the Friday before testing begins to go over a few last minute ideas, such as getting enough rest and eating a good breakfast, etc.
It also poses the question of "Can you think of anything else", so students can talk to a friend to devise other ideas, or you could have them do a writing activity on how to be prepared for the test.
