Students will create a comprehensive map that documents the explorations of Cortes, Pizarro, Ponce de Leon, Coronado, and De Soto, including their areas of explorations, motivations, deeds, and accomplishments. Students will also identify the Aztec and Inca empires on the map and the conquistadors they encountered. This activity is also a great exercise in following multiple-step, written directions. Answer key is included.
