Children need to be able to describe attributes, matching, sorting, comparing and ordering. These sorting button mats help children sort by common attributes like color, shape, size and how things looks. When they are doing sorting activities, they are choosing similar attributes. Classifying and sorting help Preschool and Kindergarten students develop thinking skills and build a foundation for later problem solving in math.
