Brought to you by Kodaly Music With Mrs Perry, this traditional African song is great for teaching do-mi-so. It also lends itself to a mini-geography lesson. Here is what you get with this purchase:

*RHYTHM - The rhythm in this song is complex for early elementary school. It is not addressed, except in one page: the page with the full song on it. If you feel you need that information, it is there.

*MELODY - This song is entirely comprised of do-mi-so. One page has the entire song for you to learn. Two other pages are for student writing. It will require you to sing or sign the song, note by note, phrase by phrase or just the song, you choose. Students are to then drag the colored pitches to the correct location on the staff. To confirm if they are correct, they can tap the matching syllable. It will turn the same color, if correct.

*ACCOMPANIMENT - There is accompaniment arranged for xylophone, drum and shaker. It is easy to read, as it is written out iconically and with beats. The xylophone part is notated directly on the photo of the xylophone.The text of the song is included on the playing pages.

*GEOGRAPHY - There is a world map included. Africa is colored red. At the bottom of the page are labels for the continents and oceans to drag into place, if desired. There is also a cloning star to drag into places on the map to show, for example, the location of your school.
