What educators are saying

My students love this resource! The little songs are so cute and catchy. Students requested to hear them again and again.

Description

Five Star Reviews, "This resource is fantastic!" A "sight word song" is a fun song that spells out a sight word. This file is a compilation of 96 engaging and easy-to-learn sight words songs from grades Pre-k, kindergarten, and 1st grade. (PDF and PowerPoint formats). The songs are written to familiar childhood songs like, "The wheels on the bus." Professionally produced, each song comes with at least 4 PowerPoint slides. (73 songs are songs sung by kids, and 23 more are sung by an adult). The first is a copy of the song decorated with clipart that relates to the song. The second is a black and white printable copy of the song with (usually) black and white clipart. There are flashcards for each song. Finally, there are at least three worksheets included for each slide. Each worksheet is slightly different. Common activities include cutting out letters at the bottom of the page and using them to spell out sight words, tracing sight words, tracing a sentence with a sight word, etc. The PowerPoint slide file is 603 pages long.

* Instead of a CD for each grade level, I combined them into one CD. I received 15 five-star ratings when I had one CD per grade level.

I originally created these sight word songs for my Autistic son and daughter, who were unsuccessful at remembering sight words with the standard teaching methods (ie. flashcards). In the order of the number of songs they have produced for me, the following people have produced songs for the sight word CD’s. Those people are: Eric Ambler (https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Eric-Ambler), Sue McTigue (https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Sue-Mctigue-At-Teach-Me-With-A-Song), and Christina Swedberg.
