Scholars and Dollars Course (Scholarship Course)

My name is Ms.Mobley. I created this course for students that are first-generation college students. My mother struggled with guiding me through the process of applying for scholarships, so I taught myself through trial and error on how to master the scholarship applying process. I'm currently a 6th grade English teacher in Dallas, TX. I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with my master's degree in Educational Studies with a concentration in special education.

This course will teach you everything you need to know to apply for scholarships for high school or college. We will teach students the following:

• How to acquire recommendation letters from teachers/coaches.
• How to write an award-winning essay.
• How to build a scholarships mindset.
• How to distinguish between the different types of financial aid.
