Description

- Great for online and distance learning! Created to be compatible with Google Slides™!

- In this digital activity, students will analyze scatter plots and determine the line of best fit. They will use the line of best fit and the equation of that line to predict values. They should be familiar with writing the equation of a line.

- This activity includes 20 different problems involving analyzing scatter plots. Students will start with determining which line is the line of best fit for the given scatter plots. They will then have to identify the equation of the line of best fit based on the correlation that the scatter plot gives. Students will have to predict values based on the line of best fit that they have created. The problems increase in difficulty as they move through the slides.

Construct and interpret scatter plots for bivariate measurement data to investigate patterns of association between two quantities. Describe patterns such as clustering, outliers, positive or negative association, linear association, and nonlinear association.
Know that straight lines are widely used to model relationships between two quantitative variables. For scatter plots that suggest a linear association, informally fit a straight line, and informally assess the model fit by judging the closeness of the data points to the line.
