Description
Students work independently or in partners to plan out a road trip through each Central American country. Students are asked to use Google Maps to plan out their trip, create daily itineraries, and insert images into a scrapbook page for each country. Templates are provided for each required project component, in addition to completed examples (I used Colombia as my example country). For fun, students are also asked to "pack their suitcase" and create a roadtrip playlist.
I use this in my Latin American Studies course, but you could also modify this to include personal finance standards (budgeting) or Spanish language standards (they could write their daily itinerary in Spanish).
