Description

This can be used as a work sample or just a different sort of assignment for creating linear equations from a lighthearted story problem. Students will first find the linear equation for each situation, make 3 tables and finally graph the information on a single graph to find points of intersection and answer the final questions in order to PROTECT THE KING'S LAND.

The story problem is in word doc format and completely edit-friendly. Think the story problem is too silly? Change it! Think the problem is too small? Add to it! I made this to change up the monotonous assignments from the standard math book, and my students enjoyed it. Hopefully yours will too.

Included is the 1-page story problem and a pdf scan of my answer key.
