Description

This 2 part, 13 page, Personal Fitness Plan Project (Google Doc) is perfect for achieving the following targets with your students:

  • set specific short-term and long-term fitness goals
  • identify fitness activities that will help you accomplish your goals
  • determine how often, how hard and how long you will do the activities in a proposed calendar

For this project, I usually assign Part 1 and Part 2 separately. However, the file here has part 1 and 2 on the same Google Doc. I will give 1 week for students to complete part 1 and either 1 week or 2 weeks to complete part 2. Total time to complete the project assignment can range from 2-3 weeks.

Extension: The next steps you can take with this project is having the students implement their workout plan and follow the calendar they created for 2 weeks and have them complete a reflection afterwards (reflection not included with this project). Total time for this project including implementation and reflection can range from 4-5 weeks.
