Description
My creative students absolutely LOVE this project. It is a great way to introduce a large portion of the Greek characters without having to lecture! The students do ALL of the work! Simply print and use!
Total time: 2-3 class periods (sometimes even 4/5 for shorter classes and slow workers!)
Includes: list of gods, goddesses and creatures; research guide; directions for poster and presentation; student note taking guide during presentations
The Process:
- Introduce the students to the project by going over the guidelines. Also, let them know that during their classmates’ presentations they will need to be alert! The guide comes with a section for students to complete during presentations.
- Cut out the list of gods, goddesses, demigods or creatures, and put them in a bowl. Students can randomly select one for their project. (44 total)
- Students complete the research guide first. (one class period)
- Students complete the poster and prepare for their presentation after the research is complete. (1-2 periods, depending on how long your classes are) (If I am asking for high quality, I typically give extra time.)
- Students present their research and posters. (1-2 periods, depending on how long your classes are)
