Description

There are a lot of myths about women and girls out there. These lies harm our students--male and female alike. This assignment is created to introduce the term "myth" apply it to the sexist beliefs held about women and girls. Students are encouraged to become "mythbusters" as they tackle and discuss common myths about girls and women and rewrite them with statement which seeks to bust these nasty myths!

Used in a 3rd - 4th grade classroom during Women's History Month. Note: it's important that the teacher plays a strong role as moderator and confronts students own preconceptions with firmness but grace and patience.
