Description

Your kiddos are sure to remember this phonics skill with an adorable story about Mr. Y the Robber Guy. There are over 50 pages of activities in this packet!

Included are:

The Story of Mr. Y (a projectable story introducing Mr. Y)
Mr. Y Phonics Poster (can be placed in the room as an anchor chart)
Stolen Sounds Sort - students sort money bags under either long "e" or long "i" header cards
Snag the Sounds - Students sort picture cards based on ending sound ("e" or "i") and record the words on their recording sheet.
Catch the Crook - a read around the room activity to practice y as a vowel
Money Memory - Students work to match the picture card to the correct word.
Sound Snatcher - this game is played just like "Bang" or "Crash" the sight word game.
Mr. Y the Robber Guy Craftivity - students make their Mr. Y and generate a list of long "e" sound and long "i" sound words.

*All sorting/read around the room activities include a recording sheet
*Patterns are provided for craft activity
