Middle School Art Projects - Picasso, Wiley, O'Keeffe Inspired Art Lessons
Products in this Bundle (3)
Description
These materials will cover at least 12 class periods and teach your middle or high students all about 3 great artists from Art History and modern times: Pablo Picasso, Kehinde Wiley, and Georgia O'Keeffe. Your students will love these artists and the fun lessons that go with them!
Each art lesson will help students create artwork inspired by the artist. Lessons are open-ended enough to allow for student choice and ensure that no two projects will look alike.
- Teach your students about Pablo Picasso as they use ink shading to create Cubism drawings.
- Student draw portraits with patterned backgrounds inspired by contemporary artist Kehinde Wiley.
- The grid method is used to assist students in creating zoomed in oil pastel drawings like Georgia O'Keeffe.
Projects are generally recommended for students in grades 5 and up.
These lessons require little to no prep. Just gather the materials, print the student handouts, and begin teaching!
