Make Your Own Test - Student Created Test

This set of test requirements allows students to create a test over unit material themselves. Allowing students to make a test themselves helps them learn the information. The students are required to develop several types of questions. It is a great review activity, or the students could complete this as their assessment over the material instead of taking a teacher made test. It can be used with any subject matter. It can also be used in person or remote.

These test requirements include Document Based Question requirements so the student will need to use primary sources as well. You can give the students primary sources to use, or you could ask them to find sources on their own. If your students are not familiar with DBQs, you could adjust the requirements. This activity is completely editable. You can change the rubric and the requirements to fit the needs of your students.
