Description
This game will be a fun addition to your Medieval Times Unit. Students sharpen their memory skills as they search for matching pairs of Medieval characters. Includes 28 unique images. This game works best in groups of 2-4 players.
Prior to playing, copy the cards onto cardstock and cut. Cards can also be laminated. Be sure to shuffle the cards prior to playing!
To play: Place all cards face down. One at a time, students turn over two of the cards. If the cards “match” the student keeps them and it is the next player’s turn. A match is made when two cards are turned over with the same image. Students take turns until all matches are found. The player with the most matches wins.
Note: another option is to allow a second turn to a player who finds a match.
The cards can also be used as writing prompts. Students can…
· randomly choose a picture and write a fiction story about the character.; or,
· choose a picture, research, and write about the life of the character (Kings, Queens, Knights, Monks, Nuns, etc.)
