I have included two videos for each genre that I feel are a good representation of the music. The videos I have chosen are considered school appropriate for my school. Please use your discretion if you feel your school may not support using certain videos.

Free updates for the life of the product!

Each year, I look for new videos in each genre. I will update the presentation as I make my own updates and they will be made available to you at no cost for the duration of the time that I continue to teach this lesson. There are years that I don’t make any changes if I don’t find any videos/artists worth changing.

How I Use This Presentation:

I present one genre per day over the course of several weeks. We go over the genre description, watch one video, discuss (in Spanish) their impressions of the music, watch the second video, discuss, and end by comparing the new genre to previous ones.

Other Ways to Use This Presentation:

This presentation also works great if you would just like something to expose your students to authentic music in Spanish.

Use the videos as a filler activity at the beginning or end of the week.

Use it as a reward.

Use it as a warm-up writing activity. Watch the video and write your impressions, what you understood, etc.
