What educators are saying

This was a great way to teach paragraph writing. My students were engaged and the process was easy for them to follow. I use this every year when I teach paragraph writing.

Description

Writing instruction does NOT need to be difficult. Teach your students one simple trick that will get them writing strong paragraphs in no time. Then, adjust that one simple trick to transition easily into the five-paragraph essay. Students will also learn to write interesting introduction and conclusion paragraphs.

This book gives teachers the lesson plans and a sample daily pacing chart that walk the teachers through each step. Topics for essay practice, rubrics, and timed assessments ensure mastery. The goal for the students is to be able to write a well-organized essay in an hour for timed writing assignments (such as district/state writing test and the SAT) and to produce intelligent essays through the writing process.

Additional features include essay writing in multiple genres including persuasive, cause and effect, narrative essays as well as research reports.

This book comes with the free eBook How To Teach the Paragraph. ($9.95 value)
