Description

This 25 question multiple choice common core short story test is skills-based and mimics what students see on standardized common core tests. Students read passages that they've never read before and answer text dependent questions (tier 1, 2, and 3 level questions).

This resource also includes an answer key that aligns each question to a common core standard, so a teacher can determine if a specific standard is causing students problems. In addition, the answer key includes the reason for why each letter is the correct answer.

The beauty of this short story summative assessment is that since all the passages are testing skills, any teacher in any short stories unit can give this test.
