This giving directions in Spanish resource includes 3 different practices using real maps (Barcelona, Mexico City, and Bogota) and 3 different modes of transportation: walking, using the metro, and riding a bicycle. This activity is based on authentic resources and it helps students navigate public transportation, as well as use real maps. It would be easier for students to use a teacher-created map with straight streets and avenues that do not change names, but in order to prepare students for the real world, it is necessary to expose them to real materials.
