Description

Help!!! There was an explosion in the science lab and all the cafeteria food has came alive. The food is trying to eat everyone at school. Help us find the antidote in the science lab to turn all this food back to normal.

This is an escape room like activity in which students complete language arts tasks and use problem solving skills. Students are very EXCITED and ENGAGED when working through this activity. Students will have to solve problems and follow the directions in a scavenger like hunt working on language arts concepts along the way. The teacher may need to help guide students on the correct path. This activity can be done as a whole group or in a small group. The teacher can provide lots of teacher direction or students can work in cooperative groups with minimal assistance. This activity may take around 30-45 minutes for students to complete.

This activity can be completed by students in 3 different ways.

1-Paper Copy Method-Students complete worksheets with or without going around the room for a scavenger hunt. Directions are provided for both (You will need six 10” x 13” envelopes and to print some sheets)
