Description

Looking for a system to help children understand stress and how it affects their brain and body?

Our "Flipping Your Lid" resources not only explain our brain's & body's responses with information and colourful & easy-to-comprehend diagrams, but also likening the brain parts to animals that students can relate to. A 'story' using these animals as characters is a cute way to visualise the events happening in the brain when calm or stressed.

Hand signal posters are included to support understanding of stress response in brain kinaesthetically which may also be used as a classroom management tool to assist students to communicate their ability to cope with activities that may heighten their emotions (eg introducing a new concept or skill, preparing for an oral presentation, attending a loud or quiet event such as assembly where students may be overstimulated or require movement).

An informative PowerPoint is also included with quiz at the end to check for understanding.
