Field Day: Is your fun field day coming up? If so, your students will enjoy this word search!! It's a great way to get a hectic day started or to finish it off for some quiet time. If your students are like mine, they love these.
In this field day themed puzzle, words are found forward, backward, up, down, and diagonal. I would consider it on the challenging side since students are looking for words in all directions. (see the list below).
I use word searches to introduce vocabulary, or even just give it as morning work. They are also great to glue in writing notebooks for future writing topics. Perfect for a sub, too. Have your students pick words from the list to use in a writing activity following field day. Use it as a guide to have them share about the events of the day. How about homework to recap the day.
