Description
If you've never sung with your early French learners, Charlotte Diamond's "La belle pieuvre" song, you definitely should!! Her song can be found on YouTube, or by clicking HERE. With my primary classes, I incorporate actions while we sing the song and my younger students, especially, are always engaged and laughing :)
This resource includes all three mini booklets (each booklet also has two versions) for your Kindergarten to Grade Three students plus the corresponding full colour posters and lyrics are included. Each version has the five vocabulary words from the song (petit poisson, belle pieuvre, barracuda, grand requin, grosse baleine) and students:
- Kindergarten version: bold vocabulary words/colour images [x2]
- Grade One versions: trace vocabulary words/colour images [x2]
- Grade Two/Three: write/copy vocabulary words/colour or draw images [x2]
The difference between the two versions of the same grade, is that one version has the next sea creature poking it's nose/head from the left side of the page (could be confusing for students as the vocabulary is focussing on the large sea creature in the centre of the page)-- If this is not a big deal for your students, great, but I thought I would make the mini booklets both ways (the posters also correspond to both versions).
All the mini booklets includes a title page and an end colouring page for your early finishers :)
**I've also included the lyrics by Charlotte Diamond**
Do you teach only one grade of CORE French students? If so, you'll find my other versions to this mini booklet below!!
- "La belle pieuvre" Kindergarten Core French mini booklet
- "La belle pieuvre" Grade One Core French mini booklet
- "La belle pieuvre" Grade Two/Three Core French mini booklet
Amusez-vous!!
I would love to hear any feedback from you regrading my product and what your students think of the mini booklets and song, so if you remember, please come back and leave a comment below and earn TpT credits!!
Merci :)
