Description

Do your students struggle with self accountability and how their actions impact their learning? This digital self assessment rubric improves executive functioning skills by making students aware of their behavior and skill deficits through self-reflection and self-assessment.

The digital and daily Self-Assessment Rubrics engage students to become reflective about their learning, effort, and behavior. Self assessment helps create tangible data to have conferences with students about these executive functioning skills, their success, and improve self efficacy. Data can also be used in IEP meetings or for special education conferences.

These rubrics are digital and can be used with middle school or high school students and work well for any subject.

This is a YEAR long resource that can be used year after year and helps foster important conversations with your students. This product promotes students to become self-reflective on specific skills associated with the executive functioning skills: Being Ready to Learn, Self Management, Time Management,  Problem Solving, and Perseverance (Grit). I have been using a paper version of these for the last five years and have truly seen my students transform their behavior by being able to reflect on their actions.

INCLUDED:

  • Google Sheets Year Long Rubric with options for customization and adding additional months
  • Self Reflection Question Prompts (Editable) to Use with Students each month
  • 8 Instructional Slides - 2 for Student Use
  • 3 Instructional Teacher Videos (can use one for students)

Grade 7

⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Great tool to keep students accountable!"

Grades: 9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th grade - Primarily students with learning difficulties

HOW TO USE:

- Introduce Self-Reflection and the Expectations for each skill

- Review HOW to fill out one line of the rubric together

- Set the consistency of filling the rubric out daily at the same time

- Make sure you leave enough time to conference with students after they self-assess

- Once, at the end of each month have students reflect on their scores

NOTES FOR USE:

- You must have google classroom to post this assignment to

- Delete the FIRST tab that says expectations, my students were confused by it and tried to always fill that one out.

- Feel free to edit the number of tabs at the bottom to meet your needs
(this year, I have decided to do one tab per month)

- Students will need to use some basic math skills
(instructional video & slide explaining how)

→ they may need a calculator for the end of the month score!
- Can also print this rubric, some of my students prefer it on paper
