What educators are saying

This resource was great to use the last few weeks of school! It was super engaging and so fun to do. They looked forward to each activity.

Description

Are you looking for some fun and exciting End of Year Activities to keep the students engaged in learning? Look no further than my 6 STEAM thematic days! The motivating term "PEACE OUT" provides partner or small group learning through fun and engaging activities with science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

Countdown to Summer Break:

This resource was made to use the last few weeks of the school year to motivate and continue to engage students in learning. The activities are a fun way to “count down” the end of the year. That being noted, you could use the material at any time of the school year.

Most activities can be completed independently, with students working in pairs or small groups.

▶️Thematic Days:

I have developed the resource using the phrase, “Peace Out,” with bulleting board letters that should be placed on the wall for everyone to see clearly. The teacher lifts a letter daily to reveal a new learning theme. The themes are as follows:

P-Play a Game with Me! (Create a board game)

E-Epic Roller Coaster Rides (Create a roller coaster)

A- A Star is Born (Create paper finger puppets & play)

C- Camp with Me (Design a campsite)

E- Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy (Create a lemon juicer or a cup stacking system)

O-Out of this World (Create balloon rockets)

U-underwater Fun! (Create the tallest sandcastle)

T-take Me to the Ball Game (Create a new baseball game)

The STEAM Daily Routine Activities:

  • Reading Passage
  • Writing Prompt Worksheet
  • STEAM group activity
  • Research (partner or group)

The activities can be teacher lead or used as group work. Either way, the students will love you for the enriched learning experiences.
