--PowerPoint template for the Chant-Along Slide Show, which is designed to allow students to build a final slide show. Students will actually drag dots to a domino, and fill in the facts contained in the rap chant. All text, sounds, actions, and animations are embedded in the PPT file. Children learn best by doing! This is a great way to build subitizing skills and is extremely motivating. The single-user license allows the file to be loaded on several computers in a lab setting for an entire class, and can be saved as unique files. (Additional teachers will need to purchase separate licenses) Students may keep the slide show s/he created. Since the PowerPoint Viewer Program is embedded in the file, all your students need is a CD or flash drive to keep their creation for home practice!

This activity has been used quite successfully in a lab setting with Intermediate / Primary Buddy Groups. The students talk their way through the process, and it is a win-win situation. Even sixth grade students will enhance their number sense knowledge and fluency with this activity!
