Drafting Step by Step

CAD or Traditional Drafting

These projects are suited for the beginning drafting student and those with limited drafting skills. The Cabin, Beach House and Sports Complex are more advanced. Directions are included for all projects.

All projects fit on standard 8½ x 11 inch printer paper or drafting paper. Due to formatting, the drawing scale precision may not be perfect. All drawing projects have a light grid background which will be helpful to students.

Students can create color renderings of the Cornhole Game, Space Shuttle, Pick-Up Truck, and Lemonade Stand. They can also do renderings of the architectural projects and civil engineering project after they have completed the elevations and site plans. Sample color renderings are included with those projects. Students may select their own colors. All projects come with a drafting paper download that has the correct grid size background for each individual project.
