Description
This editable geometry foldable introduces students to dilations. It is organized by the following three tabs:
1. What is a dilation? (Vocabulary: dilation, center of dilation, scale factor, and coordinate notation for dilations)
2. Enlarging a figure (one example asking the student to draw a dilated figure given the scale factor, a second example asking students to find the scale factor of the figure after it's dilation)
3. Reducing a figure (one example asking the student to draw a dilated figure given the scale factor, a second example asking students to find the scale factor of the figure after it's dilation)
Perfect for interactive math notebooks! I use this type of assignment during whole group guided instruction, but it would also work great for intervention, small group, centers, or during a tutoring session.
This download includes a print + go PDF version, as well as the editable PowerPoint file.
