*There are two passages in this resource (Hibernation, Migration) that are more difficult and are for advanced students. These passages focus on paragraphs, subheadings, main idea, key details, drawing conclusions, making inferences. I use the more advanced passages with my above level first grade students with guided instruction during reading groups. These more difficult passages would also be perfect for second grade students.
