Daily Phonics Lessons – your comprehensive, easy, and highly effective tool for teaching phonics in engaging less than 15-minute lessons. These video lessons are thoughtfully designed to focus on letter combinations and word families, ensuring that students learn and become fluent with word families.

What concepts are included?

Short vowel sounds- a, e, i ,o ,u

Magic/silent e (long vowel sounds)- a-e, i-e, o-e, u-e

R-controlled Vowels- ar, or, er, ir, ur

Vowel Teams- Ai, Ay; Ee, Ea; Oa, Ow

Diphthongs- Oi, Oy; Ew, Oo, Ue; Igh, Ie; Ou Ow

Our approach combines engaging decoding and encoding (phonics) activities in each lesson, making learning phonics fun, easy, and interactive.

What does the lessons include?

Focus Word Family:

• Each lesson introduces a specific word families.
• Students will not only learn the sound associated with the word family but also engage in reading words containing the word family.
• This segment provides valuable practice and helps them become fluent in identifying and applying the sound in context.

Spell Words:

• This activity encourages students to break down words into their individual sounds and use the word family that is being taught.
• They will practice tapping out words and subsequently spell them, honing their phonemic awareness and spelling skills.

Spell Sentences:

• In this part of the lesson, students go beyond isolated words and dive into sentences.
• They will say the sentence aloud and then repeat it, emphasizing fluency.
• We will also explicitly teach any tricky or irregular spellings.
