What does the lessons include?

Letter Warmup:

• • In this activity, students will be presented with letters one at a time.
  • Their task is to confidently and accurately pronounce the corresponding letter sound.
  • This foundational exercise helps them establish a strong association between letters and their sounds.

Focus Letter:

• • Each lesson introduces a specific letter.
  • Students will not only learn the sound associated with the focus letter but also engage in reading words containing that particular sound.
  • This segment provides valuable practice and helps them become proficient in identifying and applying the sound in context.

Spell Words:

• • This activity encourages students to break down words into their individual sounds.
  • They will practice tapping out words and subsequently spell them, honing their phonemic awareness and spelling skills.

Spell Sentences:

• • In this part of the lesson, students go beyond isolated words and dive into sentences.
  • They will say the sentence aloud and then repeat it, emphasizing fluency.
  • We will also count the words in the sentence and explicitly teach any tricky or irregular spellings.
