What educators are saying

This was a fantastic activity for the end of the term and the week before Christmas break. My 6th grade students were engaged and we all learned so much about the different cultures celebrating Christmas worldwide. Thanks for the activity!!
I used it last year. I purchased it to reuse it over again this year but it is not allowing me to use it again. Can you please help me open this program so that I can use it again.

Description

Looking for an engaging Christmas research project this December or Christmas? This Christmas Around the World guided, web-quest style research project and presentation is exactly what you need to engage your students and keep them practicing their skills.

Students are asked to choose a country and answer provided questions about the celebration of Christmas in that country. Some of the information they are required to find includes traditional gift giving and food customs in that country, as well as popular Christmas songs, beliefs, or practices.

For ten popular countries, three to four links are included that provide pertinent information on the Christmas traditions. You may choose to have students select only from these countries, or give them the option to choose another country. For those students who choose to research an alternate country, suggested search terms are listed at the top of each research page, giving students the nudge they sometimes need to get started.

Once students have completed their research, they are tasked with creating a Google Slides presentation based on the 6-slide template. This template can be used to present to their classmates and share all the information that they have learned about Christmas in their country. A grading rubric is included, as well as a summary page for students to recap what they've learned.

This project is great for the middle grades and a fun, engaging way to spend the week before Christmas vacation!
