Child Development Unit 8-Exploring Careers in Child Development

This product covers Unit 8 in the Child Development (Lifespan Dev) course. Unit 8 is the final unit in the CD course. It examines employability skill necessary for careers related to early childhood development. See below for a list of relevant topics covered. In this product, I have provided a student packet and PPT slides with overall as well as daily learning goals. This is a versatile product designed for the student packet to be used during lecture following the PowerPoint slides. Or, students can work through the packet on their own during at-home learning, virtual class time, catching up on missing work, or as homework. I have provided a mapping guide (syllabus) for the course as well as a teacher guide for in-class lectures.

How to convert MS Word Documents to Google Docs:

1. Open your Google Drive
2. Click New
3. Select File Upload
4. Select the Word document and click Open. The file will upload.
5. Double click the uploaded document.
6. Click Open with
7. Select Google docs.

How to convert MS PowerPoint slides to Google Slides:

1. Open your Google Drive
2. Select New, then Google Slides.
3. In a new presentation, select File, then Import Slides.
4. Click Upload then Drag the PPT file in or select and open the PPT file. Wait a bit….
5. Select “all”, then “import slides”. Wait a bit…
6. You might have to reformat some of the text as Google slides does not have all the capabilities of PowerPoint
