Created by an experienced teacher of Family & Consumer Sciences, this bundle contains all you need to get started in the Child Development course. Units 5-8 are included:

Unit 5: Determine ways to promote development for toddlers. 4 weeks.

Unit 6: Determine way to encourage good nutrition for preschoolers. 4 weeks.

Unit 7: Determine way to promote development for school age children. 4-5 weeks.

Unit 8: Examine employability skills necessary for careers related to children and parenting. 4 weeks

This curriculum guides students in both child development and parenting courses for high school students desiring an introduction to either subject. It contains a student packet with detailed instructions and space for students to work in. This course is designed to last 1 semester (16-18 weeks) at the second half of the school year. It's versatility allows the material to be taught in the classroom as well as online. Word documents and PowerPoint slides can be used to guide discussion in the classroom live, converted to Google docs and slides and posted on Google classroom or emailed to students. They can be printed out for students to take home as well. Students will need access to the Internet to complete the activities. No textbook is needed.

How to convert MS Word Documents to Google Docs:

1. Open your Google Drive
2. Click New
3. Select File Upload
4. Select the Word document and click Open. The file will upload.
5. Double click the uploaded document.
6. Click Open with
7. Select Google docs.

How to convert MS PowerPoint slides to Google Slides:

1. Open your Google Drive
2. Select Slides. Go to Google Slides.
3. Open a Blank Presentation. Create a blank Google Slides presentation.
4. In a new presentation, select File, then Import Slides.
5. Upload the PPT file.
6. Select the newly converted slides.
