Charlotte Danielson Lesson and Observation Template

This template was created with the Danielson Model of teacher evaluation in mind and is an excellent, detailed, precise template for both teachers and administrators. As an evaluator, I am often asked, what do you look for in a lesson plan, in a classroom. I created this template as an example of what I want to see in a perfect lesson.

For teachers, this template can be used to create lessons for evaluations as it details each Domain, component, and element of the expectations of the model.

For administrators, no more scripting lessons! The template will easily allow you to gather all of the information you will need to complete the observation.

Included in the template are pre and post observation questions to prepare for the meetings, ideas for teaching strategies, and descriptions of what students should be doing before, during and after each engagement of the lesson.
