Celebrate Pi Day on March 14th (3.14) with these fun and engaging multidisciplinary activities! Students rotate through centers in groups of four for a block period, or they can do each activity as a class group (if you have enough computers in your room).
Activity sheets are already layered and ready to upload to your Google Classroom for immediate use.
Activities included:
- webquest researching the history of π
- measuring activity to find π (Students will need circular or cylindrical objects and either tape measures, or string and rulers)
- writing activity (using anthropomorphism students will write an acrostic π poem about a circle)
- cooperative group measuring and art activity
- easy graphing activity
Depending on how long your block is, this celebration can take place over two days.
Celebrating Pi Day gives students a reason to LOVE MATH!!
