Description
Le Carnaval de Québec reading comprehension practice in print and/or with self-grading Google Forms™?! QUOI?! Mixing reading with the history and activities of this cultural winter event in Canada can lead to great discovery, ALL in French. Your intermediate and advanced French students will follow along with 7 comprehensible conversations between a tourist and a tourism expert as they discuss exactly what le Carnaval de Québec entails in a clear and organized format. All 23 questions are set to grade automatically for you in the Google Form™ and answer keys provided for the printable.
How the text and questions are presented:
There are 7 conversations, each clearly organized for students to differentiate between who is speaking.
After EACH passage, there are comprehension questions to help guide students in understanding. The questions include multiple choice with words, multiple choice with images, fill-in, and vrai/faux. There is a total of 23 questions.
All conversations and questions are presented as images (in the Google Form™) to help reduce the use of automatic translators.

Three ways to implement:
➯➯1. PRINT
PDF printable. Just print and implement into class! Answer keys are provided.
➯➯2. Google Form™
This is an editable activity designed in Google Forms™. You can add questions of your own to the activity or delete any questions you do not want to use. You can also change the answer type if desired (short answer, multiple-choice, etc.) or switch the order of the questions.
You will receive instructions on how to download this file to your Google Drive and how to share with students. You and your students must have a free Google account in order to access the activity.
This activity can be shared with students through email, Google Classroom, Moodle, etc.
➯➯3. TPT's Easel Tool
This resource is also available via TpT's Easel Activity Tool. However, due to the limitations of Easel, the reading passages are viewed as questions, so the points are skewed. Plus, there is only multiple choice and vrai/faux as answers. There are no fill-in or long answer options. This resource still grades for you.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ATTENTION! This EXACT same reading comprehension resource is also in the form of a self-checking deck of digital task cards from Boom Learning™.
