Description

This is a nightly homework assignment designed for Calculus III class. It includes one of my favorite assignments I give all year, proving middle school volume formulas using triple integrals. This assignment asks students to show things like the volume formula for a cylinder of arbitrary radius holds, but the twist is they have to do this in different coordinate systems. This really helps students see just how powerful different coordinate systems are when it comes to evaluating triple integrals.

The assignment comes with detailed solutions in the same pdf so you may have to use a free website like pdfescape to split the solutions from the homework assignment.
