Balancing Equations the SMART Way

This is an activity for students to master the skill of balancing chemical equations. It does so by not using any math skills beyond addition. Although the lesson begins with the 'model method', I feel that the real application of this lesson the 'chemical pull down method'.

There are enough slides in this presentation for each student in your class to come to the board and prove that they can balance equations. The method is so simple that they need not be nervous about failing in front of their classmates.
