Description

This arithmetic sequence partner worksheet provides an engaging way for students to think through arithmetic sequences. Students work with a partner to complete nine (9) different arithmetic sequences problems to find the next term, missing term, or common difference. Students are given six (6) problems limited to integers and three (3) problems limited to rational numbers.

I like to use this activity as an in-class practice assignment. Students can work through the problems at their own pace and self-correct by checking with their partner. If they do not get the same answer, then they look for errors to find the correct one. In addition, this partner worksheet can be utilized as homework, extra practice, stations, class review, bell work, or exits slips! You could even split up the worksheet so that the student does one set of nine for homework and the other set of nine for bell work. Another option is to split the class in half and each half work on one set of nine (either in class or homework). Then have students match with a person on the other set for discussion and checking (either in class or as bell work the next day).

This partner worksheet is best used with groups of two (2).

Included in this product are teacher instructions and the partner worksheet including nine (9) arithmetic sequence problems with an answer key for each problem.

I hope this arithmetic sequence partner worksheet provides a way to solidify student's understanding of arithmetic sequences including finding the next term, missing term, or common difference.
